During the southern hemisphere winter months, May to October, the North West coast of Australia is bathed in warm sunshine. Yet it is so remote and difficult to access that few people ever venture to the fantastic offshore breaks surfers the world over search for.

Western Australia enjoys the same swells that travel through to Indonesia where surfers from all over the world go to, in search of the perfect wave.

Heron Charters has been operating surfing and fishing adventure tours in the Indian Ocean along the Western Australian coast for four years, and we've taken some of the world's best surfers to these fabulous spots. Over this period the vessel has utilized its long range ability to travel to destinations from Margaret River all the way through to the many islands situated up the Western Australian coast in chase of quality un-surfed waves and some of the largest game fish in the world.

While some of the waves are challenging for the best surfers there is an abundance of waves that are suited for the weekend surfer or mal rider as well.
