Goodday mates!

I have been back in LA for the past two weeks and all I can do is sweetly think on my time with all of you.

My trip on the Navistar was the greatest trip of my surfing life. I have been surfing for 20 years and have been all over the world. In fact, I was in Jeffreys Bay last summer during the time of the Billabong Pro, and if you have seen those shots you know I scored it. But honestly, my trip to the Mentawai's blew it away. Ashton and Al kept bringing us to the places that were going off long before others seem to get a clue! You two navigated us through the flogging we got on the way over to the islands from Padang. It was a tough night on the seas, yet Ash's confidence and calm gave me reassurance and got us to the islands perfectly safe.

I still can't believe the waves that we got! It was good 9 out of the 10 days on the Navistar! I felt privileged to score the first Rifles of the season, and it was both of you who recognized all the conditions were coming together and we were the first ones to score those two days of epic surf because the two of you were so on it. Then, you took us to Bintang's, and we scored it so unbelieveably good I am still mesmerized by the still shots! You knew to check it! Only one other boat was there and we got the Indo dream playful right that I sat dreaming about for years. How can I thank you guys enough!

Beyond the waves, I feel like I made surfing mates for life. Ash and Al, you know that Shawn, Dane and I had been planning this trip for two years saving every nickel, dime and quarter to get to our dream and you guys made it a reality. I will never forget the laughs that we had! Not only was the surf great, but you two guys were the best charter guides that one could ever ask for. The food was unreal, the deck hands were great and I felt like I was treated like a surfing celebrity by you and the crew and I want to say a huge, "THANK YOU!"

I have already begun recommending you to others! No one in the Mentawai's is offering charters at your cost with such great accomodations. The best sailors, great boat, wonderful food and the waves of a life time compliments of God and the Navistar/Bintang family!

I hope to stay in touch. I don't know if I will ever make it out again. What I do know is that if I ever do, or hear anyone who is interested, there is no other option for me to consider for myself or others than sailing with the Robinson Family.

As a pastor, I pray God's blessings and prosperity over your business. Keep making us full time laborers dreams come true. Al, thank you for taking the greatest surfing pictures of me that I have ever had. I am framing that barrel shot on my office wall as a 20"X24" poster!

Blessings and thanks!

Alex Michel, Los Angeles

Subject: Navistar Charter

Hi Henry,
Thanks for the great job handling my trip on the Navistar. I had a great time and really appreciated Ash and the
Navistar. Thanks to Ash and his local knowledge, I surfed every day evan though the conditions were on the small side the first few days of the trip. Yanti did a great job getting me to and from the airport and hotel and helping with any issues in Padang. The Navistar is very comfortable and again thanks to Ash and his planing we were able to get to all the good spots from Playgrounds to Thunders without losing surf time. Ash was also very good about getting the best postion at the breaks. We were able to sit on the boat and get great views at spots like Macaronis and Ht's.

Another great service that you don't mention on your web site is that the Navistar team has pro photo equipment on board and for a reasonble charge I was able purchased a few nice shots of myself that Ash took from the beach and the dingy.

This is my fourth trip and I will be making my fifth next year on the Navistar or Bintang. Daryl, Ash and Carrick are surfers and this makes a huge difference in the quality of the charter. They know what is really important. Getting the best surf possible!

Thanks,

Aaron

Hello Henry,

just watnted to send you a note with regards to my trip you set up on the Navistar. First let me say that Daryl and his sons are real characters, and made me feel right at home as soon as I met them. The boat was great and Ashton and Carret skippered with experience beyond their years. We were at the right place at the right time for optimum water time and although I backed out of a few waves I shouldn't have I had fun every day that I was out there. The other guys on the boat were very cool and I was pleased with the entire trip. I would recommend the boat to anyone thinking of traveling there and hope to be able to travel on their new boat when it is up and running next year. Thanks for your help Henry in setting all this up and also checking in after all the events that had happend in the states previous to the trip.

aloha,

Scott Wangsness.
