CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Hi Sandra-

I just wanted to drop you a letter with a HUGE THANK YOU from all of us who made the trip down to Las Olas last week. What a great experience. I've been on a lot of surf trips over the years, and never have I had such a great, trouble free trip. First off, the staff at Las Olas was awesome. We had such a large group that I thought that we would give them a ton of logistical trouble, but they handled it all very well. They were very friendly and helpful the whole time, keeping us in very fun to great waves all week. Jason, Steve, Kyle, Alberto, and Bruno were all great to hang out with and surf with. Their local knowledge and great demeanor was very helpful to us all.

The food and staff at the restaurant were much better than anything I could possibly have excpected. I went down there hoping for a good cup of coffee and a few pastries to keep me going, but was hardly prepared for the gourmet treats that we got twice a day. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and patient with us all, even when nine gringos would come in and make special requests.

As for the hotel, Las Olas was the perfect surf travel destination. We occupied almost the entire main building, along with one other cabina that they gave us just to store our extra gear, which made life much easier. Occupying the upper cabinas and Skybox made our stay there great as we could either hang out in the restaurant or in the Skybox and always had an awesome view of the surf.

Before we even left Las Olas, my entire crew was asking me about the dates that we would return there next year. Hopefully, my schedule will make that possible. I do know this: We all will be returning to Las Olas as soon as possible, and I will use and recommend Wavehunters anytime surf travel comes up in the future.

Thank you so much-
Chris Hammond

ps- I want to put together a bunch of shirts and hats for the gang at Las Olas. If I get these to you, would it be possible to send them down there? I know that Jason is coming here around Christmas, and I want to return some of the hospitality that he showed us when he's in town. Thanks again.

Hey Scott,

I just wanted to tell you that we had an awesome time surfing Costa Rica while staying at the Las Olas Cabanas at the end of July. The weather was no rainier than Florida this time of year (so forget their “rainy season”) and the temperatures were about 10 degrees cooler. We surfed 5 to 9 foot faces every day for five days at several different spots—the wave machine never seems to quit there! We made lots of new friendships with folks there from our hometown and places as far away as Austria. Jason, Cameron, Kyle, Alberto and everyone at Las Olas have definitely got it going on! The place was neat and clean and the accommodations were comfortable. Your Wavehunter’s package included two meals per day at Las Olas which were always highlights of every day. The food was awesome—I never had the same thing twice and every meal was incredibly delicious! Seafood, steak, pizza, banana pancakes—you name it! Dude, you’re gonna hear from us again—we’re planning to go back in the fall! I’ve included a couple of pix that tell the story of a surfin’ safari to deserted black sand beaches with nobody out but you and a couple of buds. What a trip!

Pura Vida!

Hey John,

Just wanted to say thanks for setting the trip up and everything for me. Had a great time and scored some sick waves there. Jason and all the guides were chill and had fun surfing with them.

John,
I just wanted to say that all the guys at Las Olas were great and the trip was awesome....we got some pretty fun days. Shifi the surf photographer was awesome too, she did a great job.

John, I've been having a blast. The local scene between Rodrigo, Kalani and Jason has been absolutely off the hook mate. Waves have been hunted full on and there has been some serious successes on all fronts. Thank you for what has been an absoutely perfect vacation...and yes, like Arnold, I'll be back!!

Cheers,

Aaron Mindel

John,

Had a great trip. Had to cut it short a day because of Hurricane Jeanne. Airports were closed, had to get rental car, finally got home at 4:30 am Sunday--but, I got home. Surf was HUGE! Luckily, the boys at Las Olas were able to put me on some non-life-threatening waves. We caught La Isla, Escondido and a secret spot really good. Unfortunately, I was still a little intimidated by the size and didn't really get in a groove. But the guides sure did their part. Jason was great to me and really went out of his way. Kyle, Cameron, Aaron and Rigo were great and a pleasure to be around. I ended up surfing with Kyle alot and caught Escondido with just he, I and one other guy out for the best part of the tide. Thanks for turning me onto these guys. They really tried hard to make my trip the best it could be. I'll be talking to you again soon about another trip. In the meantime, thanks!
