Sea Turtles - Playa Hermosa has been designated a biological refuge for nesting sea turtles. They lay their eggs in the months of July through November.

Manuel Antonio National Park - a true rain forest preserve which consists of pristine white sand beaches, tranquil coves for swimming and snorkeling, and an abundance of wildlife visible from the network of trails such as iguanas, white faced monkeys, 3 toed slothes, and a variety of tropical birds. Manuel Antonio is only one hour south of Hermosa and makes for an unforgettable day trip.

3 Pools Waterfalls - a tranquil watering hole 40 minutes south of Hermosa. A short trail takes you to a series of 3 pools cascading into one another. A great place to cool off after your morning surf session and take photos of your friends jumping from one pool to the next.

Treetop Canopy Tour - located in the upper canopy of the rain forest between Hermosa and Jaco, this tour has you repel from platform to platform and provides incredible views of Playa Hermosa and the Pacific Coast. This is an intimate look at the rain forest climate where you can expect to see wildlife such as toucans and monkeys.

Yoga Classes - you can arrange to take yoga classes. Classes are held at an exquisite wood floor studio located at Hotel Doce Lunas at the base of the rain forest in the hills outside of Jaco.

Other activities include golfing at Marriott Los Sueños, horseback riding tours, hangliding tours, skydiving & mountain bike tours. All activies can be arranged through the staff at Las Olas Hotel on location in Costa Rica.
