THE LAS FLORES SURF CLUB

Designed by architect Rodrigo Barraza Dominguez, Las Flores Surf Club is El Salvador’s first architecturally designed watersports resort located at Playa Las Flores. Our 4-star boutique resort is located on a pristine black sand beach amidst lush tropical surroundings, approximately 2.5 hours east of the El Salvador international airport, in the Department of San Miguel, in a region of El Salvador known as “El Oriente”.

Exit the ocean into a cool fresh water shower, put your surfboard up on the racks, and walk up the steps for a swim in our infinity pool with views of the South Pacific ground swells detonating on the point, and order an ice cold mojito from the swim-up bar, or enjoy some fresh ceviche, or a cheeseburger and french fries, a taste of home. Watch the latest surf videos (or your own footage of the morning’s action piped in) on a 42-inch Plasma TV in our state-of-the-art lounge, shoot pool on our regulation sized table, or just enjoy a few seconds of bliss and do nothing. Las Flores Surf Club is a surfer’s resort designed with facilities, amenities, comfort and décor ideal for the seasoned surf traveler who wants it all "dialed in", or for couples seeking a romantic escape to this remote hidden quadrant of El Salvador where time has stopped. Even if you don’t surf, you will be inspired by the surfing and ocean culture that Las Flores exudes, or you may learn to surf coached by one of our resident instructors. Other watersports include fishing, kayaking, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and kite-surfing.

LAS FLORES LOGISTICS

Airport greeting and point to point roundtrip transfers are provided for all resort guests. Once at Las Flores, local transportation is provided by resort vehicles, boats, or local taxis as required. There is no need to hassle with a rental car or truck.

San Salvador is serviced by daily flights from the following US Gateway cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York. If purchasing tickets on your own, or using mileage awards, be warned of airline Excess Baggage EMBARGOS, which PROHIBIT SURFBOARDS on flights at certain times of the year:

Overall Taca, American, Mexicana, and Copa are the most reliable carriers for transporting surfboards to El Salvador. A comprehensive travel insurance policy will protect you in the event of loss, theft, or damage. Las Flores Surf Club also offers a limited selection of rental boards in the event you prefer not to bring your own boards. Please inquire for details.
