Las Flores Resort offers the following offsite tours to points of interest throughout Eastern El Salvador. Tours may be scheduled upon arrival at the resort and generally available upon demand.

Jiquillisco Kayak & Ecological Tour

This adventure starts with an early departure to Puerto Parada, Usulután (1 hr from Las Flores). Here Kayaks will be boarded to navigate the Jiquilisco Bay channels and enter the deep mangrove swamps of San Dionisio´s Island where you paddle through a unique vegetation tunnel that will let you appreciate this place's biological diversity and where you can see impressive views of the Tecapa-Chinameca volcano range.

After the kayaking you can enjoy Barillas Marina Club facilities and also a nature interpretation walk guided tour to a protected reserve that is home to almost 200 spider monkeys and other mammals or you can just relax by the pool. The Club facilities include a port with pontoons and big game fishing boats, small airport, restaurant and bar, convenience store, business center and customs and immigrations office.

Price: $99.00per person in a group of two; $79.00 pp/group of three; $69.00pp/group of four or more.

With a group of more than 6 people, it also includes a 2 hour boat tour through the mangroves and Jiquilisco Bay. Price does not include any drinks or meals. Tour can be taken for ages of 8 and up.

ALEGRIA TOWN ECO TOUR SHUTTLE

The Town of Alegria is located at 1,240mts above sea level and its main economic activity are Coffee Plantations; it was home to Salvadorian writer Alberto Marferrer (1868 – 1932). Along with Santiago de Maria, another coffee plantation town, both cities make a great half to full day tour to visit mountain lookouts and fertile plains full of images of tropical flowers and vegetation. In the mountains you will visit Laguna de Alegria which is a gem size lake with sulphur waters because it is in a volcanic crater; its warm thermal waters have therapeutic effects on the body and skin. There are also many walking trails where you can view the exuberant vegetation and birds.

The tour leaves Las Flores Resort at 9am to go through San Miguel town and up to Santiago de Maria (1 hour drive) and Alegria town. You will also go to Cartagena Hotel where you will be able to taste some Salvadorian dishes while admiring the great views and nursery of diverse tropical vegetation. On the way out you will check Alegria Lagoon and go back through the rear of Tecapa Volcano to Usulután and arrive back at Las Flores Resort around 3pm.

LAS TUNA´S TIDAL BAR.

Las Tunas Tidal Bar is a unique destination. Culturally enriched and colourful, Las Tunas offers its visitors an unprecedented experience to have a bite and/or have a drink. This restaurant area literally sits on top of a big rock formation at the sea and when the tide is high, Las Tunas gets wet! And so do you! Exciting and fun, Las Tunas is a perfect afternoon outing. Let the waves literally crash into you as you hold up your drink so it doesn't spill. If it does, no worries, the sea will wash it away and the bartender will serve you another! Las Tunas beach is a black sand beach made from volcanic rock and lava. The little bars and restaurants carved from the reef dot the beach with whimsical colors. As dusk approaches the sunset is usually picture perfect and the excursion ends with a final toast to the sun and the sea.

Beach tour by boat

Take a look and visit some deserted beaches at the eastern El Salvador where you can take your own cooler and canopy to relax at your own private beach or you can visit a beach restaurant to have a drink or two. From November to February you can see dolphins at the side of the boat too.

Price: $180.00 per boat for up to 3hours and $30.00 per additional hour.

Dirt Bike Moto Tour to Agua Fria.

YZ 250 2 Stroke dirt bikes with experienced tour guide who will take you to level 1, 2 or 3 trails according to your level of experience, ability and endurance. You will really enjoy the nature watching and experience pristine jungle with lookouts, fauna and great stops.

Tour costs $68.00 for 1.5hours per person and $28.00 per additional hour.

San Miguel City Shopping – Cultural Tour

San Miguel is the fourth most populous city in El Salvador after Santa Ana and Soyapango and the second most important after San Salvador. San Miguel is famous for night life along the Calle Roosevelt, the main street that runs through the city, dividing it in half. One of those sides includes the places of historical interest such as the Cathedral of San Miguel, Parque Guzman, Alcaldia Municipal and Palacio Municipal. The other half, modern San Miguel, includes new communities called "colonias". Many Salvadoran historical figures were born in San Miguel: Capitan General Gerado Barrios, writer Francisco Gavidia, and poet Juan J. Cañas. The city of San Miguel is flanked by the Volcan Chaparrastique, perhaps the most iconic image of San Miguel. You can go to big and modern shopping malls or to culture rich open market in the center of the city with secure tour guide.

Town of Chirilagua and Cuco beach

Take a look at Salvadorean local culture at Chirilagua, 20,000people city 20min drive from Las Flores and Cuco beach at the palapas restaurants in the middle of the beach full of mariachis and beach goers.

Tour costs $15.00 per person (minimum of 4 people).
