Nonura (km 886) :

Also referred to as Bayovar. This spot is extremely remote. Works best on a solid NW or SW swell, from 5-10 ft. A long, tough paddle-out against strong currents, leads to the classic tubing pointbreak lefts. A serious wave for experienced surfers. Boat access only. Need surf
guide.

Punta Tur :

This spot is just a bit south of Nonura. Another lefthander, but it breaks further out than Nonura, creating longer rides, but fast peeling and somewhat sectiony. Strong currents prevail. Boat access only. Need surf guide.

Pacasmayo (km 757) :

Larger than Chicama (although not as protected) with extremely long lefts up to 1 km. More sectiony than Chicama, with vexing currents. A rocky SW-facing point working from 4-8ft+. The take-off point is at El Faro (the lighthouse) just South of the main town.

Poemape (km 656) :

Point break left that works from 5-10ft. Glassy November through March as it is sheltered from the prevailing S wind. Offshore winds early mornings April-October. Low tide best.

Puerto Chicama (km 634) :

Famous left point-break with rides up to 3/4 miles. Works from 4'-8'. S wind offshore. Needs a solid SW or SSW swell.

Puerto Soledad :

Another left point. Picks up more swell than Chicama. 10-20km south of Chicama. S wind offshore here too. Need to boat in.

Puerto Huanchaco :

Beach break lefts from 3'-8'. Clean water peaks. Early mornings are offshore. Fun zone. Home to the tortora reed caballito riders, maybe the world's first surfers. Fisherman have been riding the lefts back to shore at this spot since 2400BC. If the swell gets big and closes out, head to Chicama or another point.

Salaverry Harbor :

An A-frame peak between 2 jetties. A big wave break. Takes S and SW swells and holds waves up to 12'.

Pto. Mori :

Rock point left from 5-12'. A big wave spot. Takes S and SW swells. Just above El Camelo. Any tide. Morning best. Afternoon onshores.

Playa Grande (km 350) :

A left point with huge waves that never close out.

Bermejo (km 220) :

Left point break. 3-6', fast, hollow, usually offshore.

Centinela (km 153) :

Another beautiful, consistent left point break between Bermejo and the town of Huacho to the south. 153km north of Lima. Must be 4-6' to break. Good to 12'.
