Make no mistake, the Nexus Brazil Surf Experience™ is all about one thing- amazing surfing. That being said, we are blessed to be in an incredible location that offers a huge variety of adventure and extreme sport options and it simply wouldn't do Florianópolis justice not to provide you with access to them. So whether your muscles need a day off from the intense surf sessions or you're just curious to try a different adventure sport for the first time, Nexus can make it happen.

Your options include:

Windsurfing in the Lagoa da Conceição lagoon, literally at the backdoor of your accommodations and reachable by short walk or a few minutes' drive.

Kitesurfing either in the ocean or in the Lagoa - this sport is an incredible rush and should not be missed. Beginner lessons are available.

Sandboarding in the sand dunes near Joaquina beach, just a 5 minute drive from your accommodations. Think snowboarding minus cold and snow, plus bikinis and shorts.

Motorcycle tours with rentals located just a few minutes from your accommodations. Para-gliding or Hang-gliding off of the cliffs high above Praia Mole beach, literally in front of your accommodations, or off of the famous vista point Morro da Lagoa -- you won't find a more stunning view anywhere in Florianópolis, or perhaps the entire world for that matter.

Snorkeling and diving with absolutely incredible marine wildlife just a short distance off the coast of Florianópolis accessible by boat.

Boat tours to quaint and authentic fishing villages inaccessible by car, deserted island paradises or sunset cruises in a 42 foot yacht.

River rafting tours just about an hour outside of Florianópolis.

Ecological hikes that take you to the edge of breathtaking cliffs and through lush green forests in remote parts of the island.

Yoga and Pilates available directly in front of your accommodations or nearby in the Lagoa town center.

Swimming in deep rocky ravines and caves where natural springs are fed by seasonal waterfalls.

Massage Therapy at our beautiful indoor/outdoor massage studio with stunning views overlooking the Lagoa da Conceição lagoon, available by appointment.

All of this and more is at your beck and call with Nexus. If any of these options sound interesting, just let us know at the time of booking your trip and we'll make all the arrangements in advance. Or you can decide once you get here - "no stress", as the locals like to say. And of course you needn't feel pressured to try any of these activities. Many of our guests end up being so enchanted with the Brazilian culture and way of life that they are content to make like the locals and spend most ff their time relaxing after surfing, enjoying the atmosphere, socializing on the beach and partying - hard to argue with that approach!! Certain activities, such as sandboarding, ecological hikes and horse back riding, can be substituted at no additional charge for daily surf activities. Other activities, such as kitesurfing, river rafting and diving can be arranged at a nominal additional charge. Massage therapy is available for $25 per hour.
