Consistent year-round swell and tremendous diversity of beach and point breaks are what you can expect during your stay with Nexus.

Florianopolis and its nearby surrounding areas are blessed with more surfing beaches than you can count and we know them all inside and out. Each day of your stay we will scope out which beach has the best break and take you there in comfort and style. Of course once you see the beaches (Praia Mole and Praia Galheta)directly in front of and walking distance from where you'll be staying, you may want to put off exploring the other sweet spots on the island because you'll have some of the world's best surfing right in front of your doorstep.

Guided surf excursions with Nexus Surf Guides available each day of your stay with us. All you have to do is wake up, eat breakfast, confirm the Nexus excursion itinerary for the day and you're all set to go. Our experienced surfer package also includes boat excursions to breaks inaccessible by car. Our surf guides know everything about surfing here in Florianopolis and about the area in general. So when you go on a surf excursion with us, we don't just drop you off and let you figure things out for yourself, our surf guides are right there with you in the water. You will never have a question unanswered, as our guides are incredibly knowledgeable (all have lived in and surfed Florianopolis their entire lives!!). Anything at all that you need, they are there to take care of it, something that makes being in a foreign country where you likely won't speak the language almost as comfortable as being at home in your own back yard.

This small island, already a surf haven year round, turns into a true surfer's paradise as the best surfers from around the world come to town to battle it out on South America 's best waves. The week long event features pro surfing, expositions, parties, concerts and more, and for a die hard surfer there is nothing like being in the middle of it all. Imagine watching Kelly Slater and Andy Irons battle it out in the morning on one of the most beautiful beaches you've ever seen, having an incredible lunch, hitting the very same break they were on that afternoon, then heading out at night to an industry party and hanging with the world's best surfers who came to Florianopolis for the event.

Through Nexus' strong local connections you will have the opportunity to experience WCT and WQS pro surf tour events like an insider, including gaining special access to competition booths and VIP after parties.

Access to high-performance surf equipment, including boards, leashes, wax and rash guards, all in excellent condition, and if we don't have the exact size or shape board you'd like, we'll find it for you. We have a partnership with one of Brazil 's top board manufacturers, Tropical Brasil ( www.tropicalbrasil.com.br ), whose factory is based right here in Florianopolis , and we can arrange special factory tours upon request. So rather than hauling your quiver of boards down to South America, try out a board made by a local shaper and who knows, you may decide to take a board back with you as a souvenir, for just a fraction of what you'd pay at home. Of course you are welcome to bring your own equipment as well; it's all up to you.
