Las Flores Seasons :

The peak surf season runs 9 months from March to November, with consistent 3-8ft+ (faces). Size can vary but there is normally always something to ride, consistency is 90% or greater. Any month in there can get really good.

The dry season months of March and April are quite consistent with plenty of swell and sometimes big ones. Mornings are offshore or side-offshore usually but the onshores can come up early by 9 or 10am during this time of year.

May is the beginning of the wet season and May and June are typically 2 of the most consistent months for the SW swells and wind conditions are glassy to light most of the time, with occasional midday onshores.

July is the mini-dry season and is almost always sunny, but marked sometimes by smaller surf than the months before or after and this is due not to the local conditions but by high pressure that sometimes sets up in the South Pacific this time of year and retards storm production, with more of a dry season wind pattern.

August and September is similar to May and June, with plenty of swell and favorable wind conditions.

October is the most volatile month for weather, but even then most days are partly sunny to partly cloudy with the majority of the thunderstorms and rain occuring in the late afternoon and evening hours. Plenty of swell and consistent.

November is the most under-rated month of the year for overall wave quality, with excellent sunny weather, offshore or slack winds, and a surprising amount of size and consistency, and any crowds are normally gone.

December can still have lingering S swells some of them even solid to head-high + with similar weather and wind conditions to November.

January is the least desireable month of the year for surfing with small, inconsistent and often windy conditions, but great for kite surfing, kayaking, and fishing.

February is similar to January but by the middle to end of the month we normally get our first southern hemisphere swells occasionally solid.
