Musket Cove Island Resort : Island Info
Reception Hours... Open between 8:00am and 7:00pm daily.
Arrival & Departure Times.... Check in - 1:00pm. Check out - You are requested to vacate your accommodation by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Arrival & Departure Transport... Meet and Greet services are provided by resort staff for guests arriving off the Malolo Cat or Sunflower Airlines. Courtesy transport is provided between the catamaran dock or the airstrip to guest accommodations. Guests departing the resort are requested to pre-check luggage collection and courtesy transport times with reception.
Malolo Cat... Three return services daily are operated between Musket Cove Resort and Port Denarau. Contact the Dock Activity Bure for details of shopping and sightseeing excursions to the mainland.
Currency Exchange... Reception or The Trader supermarket will exchange foreign currency.
Credit Cards... We are pleased to accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express.
Telephone & Faxes... All telephone calls can be made, or faxes sent, at Reception between 8:00am and 7:00pm. There are also card phones available for 24hr use.
Church Services... Sunday and special occasion services are conducted on the Island. For further details contact Reception.
Baby Sitting... Off duty staff provide this service at $2.50 per hour. Bookings should be made at Reception the day before.
Laundry... There are coin operated washing machines and dryers (opp. The Trader) or for resort guest laundry service please check at reception.
Electricity... Diesel generated electricity supplies 240 Volt AC power throughout the Resort. 3 Pin Plug ( same as NZ & Australia).
Mobile Phones... Vodaphone services are available on the island but we ask that guests refrain from using in the dining room & Bar area. If not roaming, you'll need a starter pack with chip and prepaid card.
Medical... First aid and minor attention is available on the Island. Plantation has a nurse (see Reception for hours). Aircraft evacuation is available in emergencies.
Tides... Daily tide times are shown on the daily activity board at the Dock. The bay is tidal and some watersports and boat trips can be effected by the tides. You should consult the Dock Activity Programme for operating times. There is deep water for swimming at all tides off the end of Ratu Nemani Island.
Restaurant... "Dick's Place" Restaurant is open daily from 8:00am to 9:30pm, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in between. A'la carte menus are complimented with daily specials, Curry of the Day, Fijian Dishes and regular Theme Nights. A children's Dinner Menu is available from 5:30pm. Children, dining off the main menu with adults, half price. Ladies portions and Meal Plans are also available.
Bar... Our Cocktail Bar opens at 8:00am daily and provides Restaurant and Poolside Terrace service until late at night.
Restaurant & Bar Dress Code... Musket Cove has a very easy going and casual atmosphere, typical of Island life. However we do ask you to dress neatly around the Restaurant and Bar at all times. Shorts, swimsuits, etc is the normal wear everywhere around the Resort, however if you wish to dine in the Restaurant for breakfast or lunch we request you wear a shirt. From sundown we request you wear neat casual attire, a sulu with shirt for men and a sulu or pareu with bare feet for the ladies is the real island dress, as an alternative to slacks and dresses.
Entertainment... Our Fijian Island Band entertains nightly (except Sunday) at "Dick's Place" Restaurant and Bar. Every Thursday is our "Pig on the Spit" Island night, so get into the swing, wear your sulus and colourful shirts or pareu.
Special Requests... Should you wish to celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, etc and require anything special, please let us know. Contact Management through Reception.
Marina Coffee Cove... This is a BYO coffee shop situated on the verandah of The Trader supermarket and open daily between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
Ratu Nemani Island Bar... A sand between the toes beach bar selling low priced drinks. The barbecue is available on a "do it yourself" basis unless it is being used for a catered function by the Resort. There are plates and cultery plus lights and water for your convenience.
Musket Cove Trader... The Trader supermarket is open between 8:00am and 7:00pm daily and offers everything you require to prepare a full meal, a barbecue, or just a snack.
Boutique... Open between 8:30am and 6:00pm daily ( closed 12.30 - 2.00pm), offering casual resort wear, souvenirs, books, postcards, stamps, chemist and photographic lines, etc.
Pools... Our swimming pools are open 24 hours. Towels are available from Reception.
Games... Board games and cards are available at Reception.
Charges to Guest's Accounts... Resort guests may charge all purchases at Dick's Place Restaurant and Bar, Ratu Nemani Island Bar, The Trader Supermarket, Marina Coffee Cove, the Boutique, Marina Office, Boat Shed, Dive Shop and telephone calls to their resort bure/villa/room account.
Local Customs... Fijian people are renowned for being friendly and hospitable and should you visit a village, a home or church you should dress conservately. Before entering remove shoes. We ask that you respect their customs and beliefs. Please do not offer alcohol to staff or villagers |
