Balance Yoga postures on balance help surfers develop core muscles and mental focus to stand steady on their board during pop-ups, riding and carving.
Flexibility Yoga postures develop general flexibility. Increased flexibility results in increased range of motion or movement in the: a. shoulders for improved paddling efficiency, and b. hip joints and the spine for swift pop-ups onto feet and tucking into barrels.
Strength Yoga postures held for a long time develop arm, shoulder, core and leg muscles strength and endurance to help surfers get more waves with less effort.
