Hermosa is the most consistent beach for surfing in Costa Rica with fun, hollow surf right in front of the hotel year round, the peak south swell season being March through November. Las Olas Hotel is owned and operated by Americans Jason Garris, Cameron Mott and Squinch Stone. The beachfront Las Olas Restaurant and its two-floor deck & hammock area is the perfect place to chill and refuel between surf sessions. The guides ensure you are surfing the best spots in the local area based on swell direction and your ability level. The Costa Rican staff shares the pura vida vibe that makes this country special. Take out the headache of renting a vehicle and wondering where’s the best spot to be surfing. Depending on your ability and the conditions, your guide will take you to one local spot each day in the Hermosa area. Highlight breaks include Escondida (boat trip) and Boca Barranca (500 yard left). The other daily session maybe spent surfing right in front of the hotel (a hollow, consistent beach break).
